All elements of life include order and chaos. Where there is one there is the other. Into Thin Air and Wrinkle in Time represent these two misunderstood things in a beautiful way. Wrinkle in Time with Meg overcoming her lack of self-esteem and in Into Thin Air representing how with desire man can do anything. Together they truly show the balance of order and chaos and when there is order there is also chaos and when there is chaos there is also order.
Wrinkle In Time has many great conflicts occurring constantly throughout the plot. A main conflict is the story is Meg’s lack of faith in herself. She didn’t have confidence in herself, and was still mourning the loss of his father. This man vs man conflict greatly altered Meg’s personality and

They are shown in many of the main characters such as Rob, Fischer, Doug and many others. These people have a dream and they won’t let anyone stop them from reaching their goal. For example, just take Jon Krakauer. His wife was threatening to divorce him if he had attempted the mountain. But still this did not stop him. He left all his work, his family, his whole life to give the Everest summit a try. Even though his current boss did not give him a funded opportunity to go to the summit he redirected Jon to give a try at Outside Magazine. “But boyhood dreams die hard, I discovered, and good sense be damned. In late February 1996, Bryant called to say that here was a place waiting for me on Rob Hall’s upcoming Everest expedition.” (Krakauer, 27). From there, nothing got in the way of his will to go to the mountain. Through illness, cold and many other severities these people conquered everything, conquered the top of the world. Just take a look at Beck Weathers. This man was left for dead by many, if not everyone. His left eye was greatly injured and he had severe frostbite. And when he found out that the cavalry was not coming he got up off his butt and went down to camp. “Finally, I woke up to recognize that I was in deep … and the cavalry wasn’t coming so I decided to do something about it myself.” This shows the theme of chaos which later shifted into order.
