The roaring 20s were not only known for the rebellious behavior of the Americans, but also some of the discoveries and inventions during that time period. After the automobile was invented and after the Model T from Henry Ford cars were affordable to all, even the middle class. People were now travelling more than ever and this helped increase the industry of gas, hotels, automobile repairs, and more. With the increase in the culture news was also important as also NBC was founded in 1926 as well as CBS. Movies were more popular. After 1927, The Jazz Singers, movies started to include music in the films and in 1928 the first animated sound film was released, Steamboat Willy. For example, Amos n’ Andy, a famous radio show was sponsored by Pepsodent toothpaste. This list of ordinary inventions to us include; band aids, drive-in restaurant, lie detector, convertible, audiometer, traffic signal, automatic watch, bulldozer, instant camera, loudspeaker system, compass, moviola(and movie editor), radio altimeter, garage door opener, bread slicer, juke box, garbage disposal, pressure washer, electric razor, sunglasses, and frozen food. Some of this things like basic and are used everyday, however most of these things made life fast for the citizens of the 1920s so they could spend time on other things. More advance technology would include washing machine, television, electrical television system, and liquid rocket. Without some of these things life would not be the same in the 21st century. Not only inventions, but also the medicine during this time era was advancing for example deaths due to Diphtheria were decreasing due to new immunizations.
