Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919. His birth place is Cairo, Georgia. Jackie attended UCLA and learned how to play four sports track, football, basketball, and baseball. He married Rachel Isum. They had three children together Jackie Jr., Sharon, and David. Jackie Robinson was an inspiration to millions of African Americans to play in the Major Baseball league. He was the first African American to play in the major leagues. White males were only accepted in the major leagues until 1947 when Jackie was pulled up to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers. His first appearance in the major leagues was on April 15, 1947. In 1947 Jackie was named rookie of the year. Jackie went to 6 world series in the 10 seasons he play in the major leagues.
