Title of Your Report “Sir, I have not yet begun to fight!” This is a famous quote from John Paul Jones (“John Paul Jones Encyclopedia of World Biography,” ) a famous Revolutionary War leader. He mostly fought in naval battles. His most famous battle was the battle off flamborough head, which where he stated this famous quote. All leading from his early life, his reasons for joining the war, his role in the battle, and his life after the war to why he is an honorable person today.
The early life of John Paul. He was born July 6, 1747 in Kirkcudbright, Scotland. “John Paul Jones Encyclopedia of World Biography,” states that, when John was young, about the age of 12 decided to become a seafarer. He did this because he wanted to sail the ocean as a cabin boy. Benjamin was an American diplomat and found sympathy to his strategic objectives. He thought John would be a major part in their wars they fought at sea.“John Paul Jones Encyclopedia of World Biography,” refutes that, he had hit and run attacks on enemies in defenseless places and abduction of a prominent person to compel the British government to exchange American seamen rotting in English jails.
