One of the greatest country singers made his way to the top. He sang and sang until he couldn't sing anymore. He started from singing in a prison to singing everywhere. This paper researches the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash was born on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas. His parents are Ray and Carrie Cash. He had six siblings. Roy, Louise, Jack, Reba, Joanne, and Tommy. Jack's death was an accident in a sawmill in 1944 which haunted Johnny Cash for the rest of his life (Johnny Cash). Cash went to Dyess High School in Blytheville. He graduated in 1950 and he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While he was stationed, he bought his first guitar for only five dollars. He was arrested in El Paso, Texas for illegally purchasing drugs in Juarez. Two years later, he was arrested again in Lafayette, Georgia. After that, he realized that he needed help. He tried to kill him self because of his drug addiction by getting lost in dark caves by himself. While in the caves, he decided to get help for his drug abuse and renew himself religiously.
