Law Enforcement agencies range from level, type, to size. From a small town police department, to a large federal agency the main objective appears the same, which addresses protecting and serving our country, communities, and citizens. What differentiate these agencies the most, are the levels to which they protect and serve. These levels are broken-down into:
1. Local- focuses on upholding the laws of jurisdiction, patrol, and investigating local crime;
2. State- assist local law enforcement in investigations, and emergencies extending beyond the resources and jurisdiction limitations of the local agencies; and
3. Federal- Include enforcement officials to respond and patrol, criminally investigate, inspect, etc. (Types of Law Enforcement

However, serving primarily to protect citizens and enforce laws passed at all levels of government. Local agencies enforce all laws, though restricted to deployed jurisdictions, while state and federal agencies service a broader jurisdiction. State task forces and executive departments deploy officials to engaging in specified enforcement efforts. These officials are part of state law enforcement efforts, different from others that enforce state laws in confines of state institutes. Federal agencies do not enforce state or local laws. In fact, they assist, by suitably tipping off the correct officials of suspicious activity. Also coordinating efforts of officials from different agencies at one time, in order to build cases to successfully prosecute those committing federal crimes (Differences Between Federal, State, Law Enforcement, 1999-2015). By instituting police training, advocating the use of college educated officials, and promoting new technology to assist the fight against crime. New technology introduced was seen in the forms
