Manifest Destiny was America’s dream, but like every situation, there are two sides of a story. Manifest Destiny was a belief that all land from the Pacific to the Atlantic was to be owned by the American People. During 1800-1853 the American people started moving west for more land and better opportunities. In this process White Americans moved Westward, spreading disease and nearly killing off all the Native Americans. White Americans thought that it was God’s plan for them to own all the land from the Atlantic and the Pacific.
