Growing up in Miami, a location 330 miles away from where many of my ancestors were born and grew up in, Cuba, has helped shape my worldly perspectives. When you think about Miami, you think of a place with a melting pot of cultures and that everyone is open minded, but that is not always the case. Most of Miami is extremely close minded, and I, coming from a Cuban heritage, am much more open minded than most.
