Last year at one of the usual bright and early meetings of my school's National Honor Society chapter, the idea was brought up to start a service project at the local elementary school. Being located right down the road from Highbridge Hill Elementary gave my chapter easy access and the perfect opportunity to help out. We started going over to the school weekly after our day of learning had ceased. We helped with vocab words, at show and tell, and with other fun classroom activities.
What started as a chance to gain service hours and remember what it was like to be a first grader again turned into much more. I learned that working with children was something I would seriously consider for my future. I took up many babysitting and nannying
