What Are The Causes of Teen-Pregnancy?
Teen Pregnancy is a pregnant female under the age of 20. Teen pregnancy is one of the most common problems worldwide. However, the numbers of cause are debatable. Many teen moms cause is related to alcohol abuse, sexual abuse, high rate of poverty, low education level, inadequate sex education, and etc. . . . Furthermore studies, Sexual Violence, Pornography, domestic violence, child marriage, and financial constraints are also common factors of teen pregnancy. The lack of parental guidance is one of the most common causes. Many parents in our generation evade their kids from talking about sex or provide false information regarding sex. In many cases some teenage mothers aren’t well educated about sex before getting pregnant. According to data peer pressure and early dating is a major cause of teen pregnancy. 29% of teens were pressurized to have sex, while 33% of teens were sexually active. However, Not many teens attend to be a teenage mom. According to data, 80% of teenage pregnancies are unintended. The main reasons behind that are they either to scared or embarrassed to seek information about sex. Exploitation by older man is a very common cause of teen pregnancy. Therefore, many girls date older men and become pregnant before they attain woman hood. Rape is another cause that fits under the category of unwanted teen pregnancy. However, a lot of teen pregnancies come from teenage girls with poor families. Researchers have found even in the developed countries teenage pregnancies occur most commonly among the deprived sections. The deficiency of attention is a major cause of teen pregnancy in America. According to statistics 34% of young women become pregnant at least once before 20 years of age. 8 in 10 are unintended in these pregnancies. 79% of them are unmarried. The United States has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the past 12 years. In the year 2000, the U.S. saw 84 teens in every 1000 people to experience teen pregnancy. As compared to, Canada’s statistics showed 36 pregnancies in every 1000 people. According to the office of The National Statistics data, 41.9% pregnancies are in every 1000 people between the age group 15-17 years old. There were 42,900 conceptions under those categories. Furthermore, the pregnancy rate under the 16 age group has increased from 7.8% to 8.6%. However, all countries are struggling to reduce the rates.
