Answer 1 - Prior to recording the video data, to calculate the scaling factor researchers need to place two markers at least one meter apart. Then they know the real length of the points and the projected length and can calculate the conversion factor.
The image obtained after recording is small then real life person, so to convert it to real life scale we need scaling factor.

Answer 2 – We know Frequency = 1/T so T = 1/Frequency
Given Frequency is 30Hz
Using the formula, T = 1/30Hz =0.033 s
If given time is 0.002s
F = 1/T = 1/0.002s = 500 Hz

The ear marker was chosen as a representation of overall body movement because it is stable then other marker. The other markers like shoulder, hip, knee, ankle joints move as the person is running but the ear is at stable position.

Answer 5-

Answer 6 – Positive velocity mean moving in positive direction or in direction of movement and negative velocity mean movement in negative or opposite direction. During vertical positive velocity, the marker was moving up (in positive direction) and during negative velocity, the marker was moving down (in negative direction). In the horizontal direction, the markers were moving in forward or right (positive) direction so, they always have positive horizontal
