Test Prep Assignment A lot of people truly don’t understand how the human mind works and how humans can make a meaningful construct of the objective world. The objective world is what we see or observe outside the body. For example, when you see a dog or a tree that would be considered part of the objective world, it’s information that’s outside the body and going into the body to be constructed. Physical stimulations and sensory receptors are two things that detect the information. The physical stimulus is the energy that humans use to detect things; for example, light waves, sound waves and touch are energies humans are sensitive to. In order to continue detecting information from the objective world, you must have sensory receptors that are specialized to detect the certain energies. Also, you must have this in order to have sensation which it super important when it comes to making a construct. Not only do you need physical stimulation and sensory receptors you also need to have accessory structures to detect information. Theses are structures that identify stimulus transductions. An example of this would be the lense of the eye when it is …show more content…
Converting is exactly like getting a photo through text, it makes codes. This is also known as transduction, it takes the informations or the energy and turns it into a code, or things we know. Like stated earlier, it’s like getting a photo through a text message because photos are just a series of numbers and then it’s converted to a code that shows us the actual photo. Therefore, when we detect light waves or sound waves transduction occurs. Turning the light waves or sound waves into a code so we can understand it. The next process necessary to make a meaningful construct is transmitting. This process is also known as neural transmission; the process in which information is taken to the
