1. On a scale 1-10, I would rate myself a 7 on how comfortable I would feel having a follow-up conversation with a resident after witnessing them preform an act of bias or stereotype a group of people. The reason I would give myself a 7 is depending on who the bias/ stereotype was directed to I would be worried that the resident wouldn’t actually listen because they would view my conversation as me trying to help them correct a stereotype but as me being offended by their comments. I do believe however that I can approach this situation objectively because I would be able to at least look at the situation and try and figure out why they feel the way the feel about it and how in their eyes they’re not trying to be offensive but funny. In order to address the situation I would have to be sure that I could provide examples in society to back my argument and just a willingness to have an extended conversation about race in general.

On a scale 1-10 I would rate myself a 9 on how comfortable I would feel having a follow up conversation with a resident regarding a behavioural issue like underage drinking and drug use. I believe that I could have an objective conversation with this conversation because regardless of my opinion or relationship with the resident, I can point to the laws of both the state of Ohio and the housing contract that they signed before living in the dorms as objective sources to why what they did was wrong and can get them in trouble in the future if this behaviour is continued. In terms of what I would need in order to address this I would have at least looked up the terms in the housing contract that stipites the rules and consequences regarding drugs and alcohol usage. Additionally I would have to make sure that I put my person feelings about the resident aside, even if the resident is one of my favourites or potentially a friend of
