Loneliness, isolation and true friendship are themes in the movie of Mice and Men.
George and Lennie are best friends, They are ranch workers they work on ranches and make cheap money. George has had to take care of Lennie after his Aunt Clara died. Lennie is a big man who is very kind and compassionate but is very dumb he forget everything anyone says to him. George is a smart man who likes to hide his feeling on the inside, he is tough but has a big heart. Lennie and George start their Journey where they are being chased in the desert by rangers from weed. The fast paced music throughout the chase makes the movie thrilling. George and Lennie go on a train to find a new job. Their dream is to own their own ranch.
The music in the movie is well composed and fits the movie perfectly. From the fast pace tempo of the exhilarating scenes and the calm, peaceful music during the less are great. For instance when George and Lennie were walking to their next ranch after they left weed was well fit, the calm sound of the piano music with the sun setting was beautiful.

They meet a old man named Candy at their ranch and they develop a friendship. On the ranch they meet a man named crooks and a woman who is Curley's wife, these two don't like each other but they both are lonely. The actors do a great job in their roles as crooks is black and is discriminated and girls were also discriminated. These two get lonely in life as crooks has to be in a cabin alone. Curlys wife is alone a lot because her husband curly goes out a lot. She is home a lot and is very lonely, the director does a great job making us feel compassion for the characters. Another main themes that was used in the movie was the true friendship between George and Lennie. George and Lennie get into a lot of fights but you can tell that they care about each other. Even that Lennie is slow George still cares him and enjoys being with
