Coyote was a Native American trickster. He was a half human and half animal and the most famous trickster of all. He has 4 sons and one wife. Coyote always teamed up with a Fox, Badger, and Rabbit in the early stages of the earth. At this time the book described the earth as incredibly soft and innocent. The readings say ““Well my younger brother, whatever it may be, bring it up.” The duck dived again. A long time he stayed down there. Old Man Coyote examined it. “Ah, my younger brother, this what I wanted. This I will make big. This I will spread around. Everything was still and there were no winter or summer. It was summer all the time because there was no moon orbiting the earth and the moon is said to be death and dark. Tremendous magic happened occurred during this historical present in creating the universe involving Coyote and Hermes. The earth and the universe are affected tremendously by the actions and morals of the famous mythical creature Coyote. Coyote is compared and contrasted in this writing to Greek God Hermes. Hermes was born in Arcadia and was known because he was a thief and was always stealing cattle from his brother. His brother was Apollo. Coyote and Hermes both created magic into the universe, but it is different magic. Coyote and Hermes both are very sexual and have magnificent stories of sex. They are lovers. They tend to love in different ways. Hermes loves with aggression and Coyote loves with passion. The Old Man Coyote couldn’t hesitate to have sex with the two young beautiful girls that were the daughters of an evil witch. Coyote didn’t care as long as he could have sex he would risk his life. Every handsome man that had sex with these girls were never seen again. After a great meal served by the witch the daughters informed them of the situation once eagerly crawled into bed with the two girls.
