Technology is the forefront of everything people do in today’s world. A fast-growing trend in the use of technology is online dating. More people are turning to dating websites to find a partner than they are trying to find one offline. Will online dating lead to offline dating and a lasting relationship? The dating sites will advertise that it will.
I personally used an online dating site to meet men in the past. This topic is of interest to me because I did not have a good experience with online dating. The premise for online dating is to get people out in the world to meet lots of people. Online dating is getting people meeting people and out of their comfort zone. Online dating services will get you talking to that special person and eventually meet them offline. Online dating is beneficial to everyone because it is a way to meet people and talk with them before meeting them in person. The article “Online Dating Vs. Offline Dating: Pros and Cons” is used to support these statements (Spira, 2013). The article discusses the pros and cons of online dating. Then it discusses the pros and cons of offline dating. The article states that technology has created a way for us to meet that special person and we need to use our technology to our benefit. It says online dating leads to meeting more people offline and also seeing new places. The research and resources are from Julie Spira’s blog.
