That is right! We all come different backgrounds which it makes America Great but we are taught history differently which it makes America no so great. When you look at the painting of the forefathers you will immediately see that the Salad Bowl did not include all the vegetables. The forefathers neglected the fact that America had already been a Salad Bowl and missed out to include different groups to participate in writing the Constitution. Here are the ethnicity groups before 1776 (African, Dutch, French, Swedish, English, German, Indigenous, Irish, Scots, Irish, Spanish, Mexican). The more we segregate and neglect each other the more divisive we become as a Nation. Not to shed light on another issue but today most people have difficulty understanding that the LGBT is a minority group and they also have the right to Liberty and the country has the responsibility to keep their community Safe. I already accepted the fact that they are here to stay and I will do my part to give them respect and help them in any way I can. I will not segregate myself from them just because they sound or look different than me. It is my duty as an Officer of the United States Armed Forces and Citizen of this country to accept them as my own and to stand up for them when they are oppressed and when their right is violated. It took the Orlando's massacre which it happens to be my home of records for me to understand that this group needs representation, that they have been oppressed for many years, that we have been segregated/excluded them from our society and that we have not given the respect they deserve exactly like we have done to other minority groups. The LGBT group is also part of our Salad Bowl and I am pretty sure they also have a different of opinion of what freedom and America
