It is without reservation, and with high regard that I recommend Dorela for the MHA program…... I know Dorela both through my role as her primary care doctor and her supervisor. This has given me the unique opportunity to experience firsthand her commitment to Healthcare. Fresh out of High school Dorela was determined to make a contribution to the medical field. At our first meeting I described the general outline of her role as a medical assistant. Her clear and concise questions and overall intelligence lead me to believe she would be a great asset to my office.
Through the four years of supervising Dorela, I have found her to be an unquestionably exceptional worker and a person who is never afraid to take on a challenging task. In a strong leadership environment, Dorela would often go above and beyond to seek out more specific strategies and understand best practices as they pertain to patient safety and quality of care. I could always count on her to complete her work accurately, and in a timely manner. When more work needed to me done Dorela would always volunteer to work extra hours to help me with patients and documents. Her problem solving skills and critical thinking created a smooth environment for both patients and the coworkers.

She worked closely with patients, assuring their vital signs were normal and their history was up to date. Additionally Dorela prepared blood samples for laboratory testing and consulted with me in regards to patient health concerns. Having worked on the front lines and as a referral person, she was always professional, and an effective communicator. She worked extremely well in a collaborative environment, and was always a valued member of my team. She would eagerly watch minor procedures and assist me with any equipment.
