Personal Statement
I have just lived in this world, society, just for 18 years yet I have learned and experienced many issues this world has offered me. I come from a hispanic family, where women are viewed so little and with such little power. I know for a fact this does not only occur in a hispanic family but other groups as well. At least once or several times a women experiences the inequality, little power and are afraid to speak up and raise their voice toward a male because they are afraid because they are born with this myth that they are not as strong as the opposite sex. Make sure the food is ready, perfect on the table ready for them to eat. Boys are given privacy through their phones, computer and if they were to have pictures of a females it is ok. On the other hand if the girl had a picture of a male it is seem a s is she was a hore, slut ect. Women are not just useful for cooking, cleaning, washing. Because according to my mother this males are the ones that are going to protect me from the danger and feed me in the future. I disagree with her several times when are talking about this issue. Because women have this huge desire to do be some in this society, and not ge judge.This issue is is a problem perhaps worldwide …..because the gender we are given by nature makes certain people assume that is the role people are to be played.
This issue is very important to me because I myself has experience, sexism, and I know hundreds of women has experienced that as well. Through education anything is possible because opportunities are for everyone. And you are not stopped to do what you want because of your gender. Education is my opportunity to continue my education and play a role in the inequality a women
