What has happened to my Powerful empire?
I am so proud of my loyal Janissaries for fighting the Ghazi in hopes of keeping my powerful empire alive. My amazing Ottoman Empire lasted from 1299 to 1924, we controlled an enormous area of land. My empire stretched out across Southwest Asia to Europe and Northern Africa it was a vital trading path. My father Ertugrul, left Turkmenistan to join the Seljuks against the Byzantines. He took with him just 400 of his trusted horsemen, arriving in Anatolia. Anatolia was made up of many Turkish independent states. When I became leader of one of these states, I was able to gradually expand the Turkish settlement. The greatness of my empire was revealed to me in my dreams. The Sultan ruler, Alfredo has assisted my enemies in the demise of my state causing my empire to fail. His acts of treason have kept our empire from growing. Alfredo had to have provided the Habsburg Monarchy, the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth and the Holy Roman Empire with information to cause our empire to lose the battle of Vienna in 1683, at Kahlenberg Mountain near Vienna. When World War 1 broke out The Central Powers, which included Austria-Hungary and Germany were who our empire decided to side with during the war. The Central Powers were against the Allied Powers, which was made up of Russia and the United States. The Central Powers were losing World War 1 and this loss was weakening my Empire. Before the end of WW1, the British and the French held a secret meeting to decided who would get what land. The secret meeting later became known as the Sykes-Picot Agreement.
