Social security is a rising problem in our country. It is not getting the funding it needs. Social security will run out and not be able to provide for the people. A question that arises is should we raise the age to get social security?The answer to this question is no, we should not have to raise the age for social security. When we are promised a age we can get our social security it should not be raised to a different age. Changing the age just delays the date it is going to run out. Between the years 2030 and 2034 social security will be depleted, according to the article Should Congress raise the full retirement age to 70?. This is because the social security receiver is like a two-valved balloon.One end lets the money in, the other lets it out. The government sometimes let the balloon deflate a little without putting the equal amount of air back into it. Asking these millions of older workers to continue in these jobs an additional 3 or more years is often not possible for them physically.” This shows that we can not raise the age because then how will men work and support a family. It’s either we protect our people or say screw it work more and die so we don’t have to give you social security. That's what you are saying when you raise the age. People matter and we must not kill people just so we can gain more money because the government doesn't know how to use the money. Younger people should not have to work longer and kill themselves trying to support their family, but who cares because we are living longer.
