Pietist Evangelical Beliefs

Pietists were different in ways the gospel was preached and taught to the people of Spener’s Germany and Wesley’s England in a manner that stress the importance of Christian living. It is so ironic how people can be misled by thinking they have the real deal, when it only fowls play. Although, Wesley was influenced by the pietism, Moravian in the early 1740’s, was where Wesley discovered God’s active grace in his life. Pietism also emphasized personal faith against the main Lutheran Churches and that perceive stress on doctrine and theology. “Wesley promoted a religious faith that resembled the forms of the Enlightenment, even though his purpose in doing so was Christian” (Noll, 2012, pg. 233).
