On 03/31/18, at approximately 11:47am I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 2633 Bulen Ave, on a dog at large patrol only. I arrived on scene at approximately 11:52am. As I pulled up I saw a pit bull (brown/white) acting aggressively towards occupants of a vehicle parked in the driveway. The pit bull would repeatedly jump up on the driver side door, as if to gain entry into the vehicle. I took a picture of the pit bull loose. I exited my vehicle, as I approached the vehicle the pit bull charged at me. I utilize my Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray to stop the pit bull from advancing towards me in a aggressive manner. The pit bull ran to the side of the house. I approached the vehicle, the occupant stated the pit bull name OX resides at that location and he just came over to feed the dogs on his …show more content…
As I waited for other family members to arrive, I tried to capture Ox, but to no avail. I had to utilized my OC spray a minimum of two additional occasion to prevent Ox from attacking me. A unknown adult female arrives in a vehicle with a unknown female minor. The unknown female minor tried to get control of Ox but to no avail. I place a dog crate near Ox, and with the assistance of the unknown female minor, we were able to get Ox to go inside. I secure the door to the dog crate. As I was backing away, Ox charged the back of the dog crate causing the back section to open. The uncle via the phone tried to get the unknown female minor to secure the dog to his dog chain. The unknown female minor, proceeded to cry and refuse. At this point I elected to impound the dog due to not having a secure/safe place to house Ox.
