The complexity of treatment for those diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) may be challenging for clinicians to treat. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after a person has been through a traumatic event. Nonetheless some of the events that lead into PTSD are; Natural disasters, Car crashes, Sexual or physical assaults, Terrorist attacks, and most popular, combat during the time of war. As with all mental health disorders the efficacy of treatment depends on the individual as each individual brings unique biological, social, and psychological backgrounds to his or her treatment.

In the following selection my case study current reflects a young man by the name of Will who served time in the military. Will was exposed to innocent killings and deaths while serving time in the Army. As a result of his exposure he has been diagnosed with PTSD based on his symptoms disclosed in the case study of irritability or having outbursts of anger, anxiety, reoccurring thoughts of combat killings, severe panic attacks and insomnia (Laureate Education, 2012).
