Pain is an unpleasant feeling. It has a tendency to debilitate a quality of life. Postoperative pain management is a crucial part of an anesthetic care. The topic of postoperative pain management is significant because pain can produce stress response. Stress response can alter cellular hemodynamics that can delay healing process. A delayed healing process increases risk of infection, discomfort and overall morbidity and mortality. Postoperative pain management is substantial in reducing negative patient outcomes.
