Preferred Behavioral has a solid reputation in the areas of substance abuse counseling and continued recovery. They provide substance abuse, detox services and buprenorphine services, as well as outpatient and partial hospitalization.
Having the opportunity to intern at this facility will increase my understanding of substance abuse theory, principles, and knowledge.
I hope to obtain the knowledge needed to apply these principles in clinical, group, and life situations. This will help to further develop the critical thinking skills of a substance abuse counselor.
