A certified nurse assistant is responsible for assisting the resident with any of their activities of daily living that they either can not preform by them selves or need assistance preforming. Activities of daily living could be anything from walking (ambulating), eating, dressing, toileting, or even bathing. A certified nursing assistant is responsible for providing basic care to the patients. Depending on the location of residency the certified nursing nursing assistant may be a patients main care giver, therefore it is the certified nursing nursing assistant's job to make the patient comfortable with them selves, which can be done by staying professional and proving privacy at all times.
