There were many consequences of the columbian exchange, some of them are better trade, more commerce, more jobs, more wealth. But there was also death, murder, rebellion, and disease. The question is whether the pros outweighed the cons or if it wasn't worth it in the long run. The cons ran from bringing over disease, destroying families, ruining lives, murder, rebellion, and overall destruction. The conquistadors kidnapped a ruler, killed his subjects, and stole all of his valuables. They also spread disease and infection.

The pros were amazing, from extra food, to new food, extra jobs and more wealth for spain. There was more trade and more things to trade, and they may have spread infection and disease, but they also led the survivors
