Native American tribes were all over the place and still are right now, but many that people haven’t really heard of or were really interested in learning about. The Pueblo tribe is a tribe in the southwestern part of America that was a really successful tribe. The Pueblo tribe has their own culture in food, clothing, religion, how they built their homes, customs, and how they are on their reservations. The Pueblo tribe has had a relatively generous population where everyone worked together to make a successful tribe by making clothes and food, especially in the dry heat of New Mexico. The houses were known as adobe houses or pueblos. In every village there is a kiva. A kiva is an underground chamber where important events and ceremonies are held. The pueblos had to also make their own clothing. They had been taught by the navijo to silversmith the jewlery for the tribe. The men had to hunt for food, but they also hunted to get the skin of deer and rabbit skin to make the clothing. They also had sheep where they got the wool from to make clothing. The pueblos had put a lot of work into making cloths, food, and houses for their village to do their religious ceremonies and for their traditions. The pueblos had very different customs, beliefs, and occupations than other tribes had and that is what the pueblo tribe is famous for. The pueblos religious belief was based on animism which is where the pueblos believe that everything in the universe has a soul and spirit to help guide them through life.
