There were a lot of things at Pearl Harbor. Pearl harbor had a huge military base in 1941. Over eighteen thousand men were based there. More than 100 warships were docked there. The fleet had 8 massive battleships. Most of the ships were very long. The huge battleships were at anchor and There was airfields too.

It was peaceful at Pearl Harbor before the attack. There was a massive military base. It was a beautiful day at Pearl Harbor. Nearly every day was lovely. The football field size battleships were peaceful and the men on the ships were thinking about Sunday plans, the soldiers were training hard and few people were worried.

The attack started for many reasons. One is because for thousands of years, Japan kept apart from the rest of the world. Japan needed many resources, so Japan decided to use world trade. The Japanese military grew very powerful. Only the US stood in japan’s way for world rule. Because the US slapped a trade embargo on Japan, Japan couldn’t trade for US oil. Japan had two choices. One is follow US’s demands, the other was to attack. Japan decided to attack Pearl Harbor.
