According to Radtke, Obermann, and Teymer (2014), nurses are knowledgeable about the benefit of adequate sleep for a healthy although they may not have comprehended the repercussions of sleep deprivation fully. The problem, however, is transforming knowledge into actual practice. I will disseminate the new knowledge, evidence and information to the team of nurses in my unit. I will emphasize on the menaces of sleep deprivation to change nurses’ attitude towards sleep. Nurses should consider sleep as a part of the treatment. I will bring forward expert recommendations for EBP and implementation.
