Throughout his lifetime, Mohandas Gandhi was very successful with using passive resistance. Gandhi engaged in a major duty in the development of nonviolence and peace. He led an example set by his mother, who always showed her peace in life. His mother was Hindu; she was a very caring woman. She was always taking care of other people by feeding them and clothing them. Her example had a hug impact on Gandhi.
