The culture I’m part of is the Mexican culture. The most part of us are catholic. We like to party a lot. Something that identify us from the rest of the world is our food, when someone say “Tacos” people immediately think of Mexicans. Our language is Spanish. People use to be friends with all their neighborhood. When someone has economic problems, the community organizes activities to get some money to help them, and that’s something I love about my culture. Most of the parents are very strict, they won’t let their children go to sleepovers or travel with their friends without an adult accompanying them. They also are very strict about their daughters staying virgins until marriage. We don’t believe in abortion, we see it as killing. The older people don’t agree with gay marriage, although they don’t discriminate them. This is a religious group and it’s the second-largest in the world, after Catholics. Muslims live in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. They just believe in one god, Allah. Although people think of terrorism when they see a Muslim, it is actually that is forbidden for them. Muslims do not eat pork, they don’t drink wine. They like to stay healthy. They do not eat any animal with claws. People see Muslims as an outdated culture, basically because of the way they treat women. Women are not allowed to show skin, they even cover their faces. Muslims are forbidden to greet women in public. There are some rights that husbands have. They are the leaders of the home. The wife has to follow the desires of her husband. Men don’t have to obey anyone but their moms. Women can’t leave their homes without their husbands’ permission. Muslims have different languages including Arabic, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi, Malay, Javanese, Sundanese, Swahili, Russian, among many
