18 Rhetorical Analysis: Bring Back All Girls The magazine article “Bring Back All Girls” written by Belinda Luscombe and published from the magazine Time, is an article that expresses the need to end human trafficking and prevent it from occurring in the future. This article tells the story of the 276 girls that were abducted from a Nigerian school and forced into the sex slave industry. This magazine article is a sufficient source for my research paper because it provides relevant, fact checked information on my topic, identified sources, it is current and not biased, and has gathered evidence from a variety of different sources supporting its claim to put a stop to human trafficking. The exact estimated profit margin on each woman is a 66% profit. However after researching further I was able to discover that the profit margin will vary from person to person due to many factors from the woman herself. Additional information that has been presented in this article that is valid information because it has been fact checked is that nearly half of the worlds enslaved people are from India. In doing so, I discovered that this article has most likely been written for multiple purposes. The first being that the authors wanted to make readers aware of this horrible crisis that is sweeping the globe and creeping into the lives of families worldwide. Next, the authors of this piece are most likely hoping to persuade readers that action must be taken immediately to put an end to this horrific widespread, hidden organization that strives in the shadows. The agendas of authors Luscombe and Forooah are not to be considered biased to the point where this article would not be able to be used in a research paper because this article still presents itself with valid information on this worldwide issue. However, when reading this article, information that is presented should still be considered and taken with a grain of salt for its content and still analyzed for any hidden agendas that could possibly persuade readers to interpret information in a way that would benefit the authors and their
