In making the comment that “ Is Google Making Us Stupid?”, the author, Nicholas Carr, stresses the fact that our ability to stay focus when reading long pages of work is not as efficient compared to the past. By relating his life experience and those of his companion’s, Carr himself believes that the way students and other intellectuals process data and ideas have dramatically change because of the “internet”. Even though the argument made by Carr that the result of the Net is to scatter our attention and diffuse our concentration so that headquarters like Google or Yahoo would make economic interest from us (Carr, 2008) is untrue, as an audience, I believe that Carr, throughout the course of his argument contradicts and undermines his claims.
