In the short story of "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" there are many different rhetorical strategies that are easily spotted.
Even on the first page of "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", Edwards has already managed to get the reader's attention from his audience from using many different rhetorical strategies. The first strategy that is noticed while reading, is the use of logos that Edwards is trying to make the reader understand first. There is logic that Edwards is trying to explain for his short story in the first couple pages is the expression "[t]heir foot shall slide in due time" (Edwards 347). Even while noticing the "logos" strategy, Edwards use of "explaining the process" is seen in the first pages of this short story
