White uses ethos by highlighting her credibility by showing college grads that she is a reliable source of information. White uses a lot of dependable sources such as surveys, data and logistics from many credible people. For White to get her readers to believe in her piece, they have to believe in her as the author first. White uses data from many different dependable sources such as St. Louis Community College, Adecco, The National Association of Colleges and Employers and many other experts. Doing this shows the readers how she is a credible writer and wants to prove her facts.
