1 What is a decision?
A decision does not have a specific definition because it depends on the individual’s knowledge, thought, feeling and imagination that result into an action. The decision is always controlled and made by the one making it. They may have outside influences, but not the ultimate decision.

2 What distinguishes the right decision from the wrong decision?
In the healthcare field, the main difference between the right decision from the wrong decision is if an individual is causing harm to a resident or patient. The responsibilities of the nursing home are to care for the residents with their needs so if those needs are not met then we have done something wrong. If the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services give the facility few to no citations than the facility has been making good decision. Vice versa with having loads of citations.

The actual power of the administrator is determined by the employees. Every facility has several authorities because there are different types of professionals for each department. For example, in the nursing department, one may say the DON has all the authority in the department because she is ultimately the head. The administrator is the the only one who oversees the whole facility as one while the others just oversee a specific part. To me, the administrators should not have the actual power of everything because one would not know the knowledge about the each department fully.

Key words and key phrases are verses that healthcare professionals use to ease minds of their residents or ensure they feel respected. For example, can I help you get dressed, would you like the door closed, or is there an issue, I can help fix anything. These are all questions that I feel residents would like to be
