For example, when Saint Teresa was only five years old, she convinced her older brother to run away with her to the land of the Moors so that they could beg them, out of love of God, to cut off their heads!!! I was shocked to find out that as a teenager, she cared only about boys, clothes, flirting and being a rebel. It’s really surprising to find out that a saint was interested in these things as a teenager. Another thing that surprised me even more was when I read that even after Saint Teresa made up her mind to become a nun/chose the religious life, she still was involved in things that were not so nice such as flattery, vanity and gossip. I would have never thought that a nun would act this way!!! In my head, I imagine saints being very good/well behaved/almost perfect all of their lives. As I’m learning about saints, I know now that they are very much just like all of us; they are not so perfect after all -
