Gay Marriage

Some people argue that marriage is intended to bond one man and one woman and that the definition of marriage makes same sex marriage wrong. But everyone deserves to fall in love with who they choose, also the AAP say same sex marriages in kids best interests. On the flip side religion say one man one woman, and the IRS does not recognize same sex marriage on tax forms. For years now people have been debating whether or not a person can be born gay. Scientists has done ton of research on whether a person can be born gay, some scientist say some yes while others say no. What is the definition of love? Everyone has their own definition but per Merriam-Webster the definition is “strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties.” Nowhere in the definition does it say anything about a strong affection for a man and a woman. Love is not just for a man and a woman, love is for everyone. Who are we to judge a happy couple of the same sex that is in love? Everyone deserves to be loved and to fall in love, whether the couple is man and woman, man and man, or woman and woman. Excluding people from marriage contributes to health disparities that hurt families and children. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) issued a statement on Thursday saying “it supports marriage equality for all consenting adults as a way of providing long-term security and benefits for their children”. If a child has two parents that love them, support them, care for them deeply, and are willing to provide a permanent secure family why should we not support that family? The AAP is not the organizing that supports same sex marriage and them adopting kids; the American Medical Association is for it too. People say that children with sex-parents will grow up with psychological outcomes. But as many of the risk that can cause psychological outcomes for example, poverty, depression, abuse, divorce, and domestic violence. But the sexual orientation of the child parent is not one of the risks. The AAP had reaffirmed that with 30 years of social science that the children will grow up with the same positive development whether their parents were different genders or the same. Furthermore the church has spoken out to the communities and young people saying being homosexual is a sin in God eyes. In the Bible it clearly states that marriage is between a man and a woman.
