Should Everyone Get A Trophy Persuasive Essay

As i have seen in our society, things have changed. One of those changes are where everyone gets a trophy. All someone has to do is show up and they could receive a trophy. Now of course that trophy would just say participant. As Cornelius Vanderbilt said “I don’t care half so much about making money as I do about making my point, and coming out ahead.” this means that he doesn’t care about money as he does about being the winner of a competition and making his point. I will be showing you my opinion on that. I will show you three different opinions on the subject that everyone should get a trophy. The first opinion is a yes opinion. The next opinion is that of a no opinion. The last opinion is that of a yes and no opinion. In my opinion i feel that not everyone should get a trophy because not everyone wins in a competition.

The first opinion is a yes opinion. In this opinion, someone would say that yes, everyone deserves a trophy. They would say this because they would say it make a person feel good that even though they didn’t do anything, they still did something and should feel good about that. This opinion focus on a combination of both of the previous opinions. A person with this opinion would say that some people deserve a trophy but those who don’t work hard don’t deserve a trophy. So for example a person who works extremely hard to be a straight A student and is class president and in sports deserves a trophy but someone who is not in a sport or a member of student government doesn’t deserve a trophy because they didn’t work hard to receive a trophy but they should get something for all of their hard work. An example could be someone who has grades of C’s and D’s should get a certificate as their trophy for their hard
