There are many similarities between the Address and The Declaration of Independence like all men are created equal, there is going to be a new government, and the government is by the people. Both the Address and The Declaration of Independence state that all men are created equal. The Gettysburg Address states, “All men are created equal.” The Preamble also says “all men are created equal.” They are important because in the Gettysburg they were saying that blacks and whites were equal even though at that time they weren't treated as equals. In the Preamble it is important because it said that the people were equal to the government and the government won’t mistreat them again. The Gettysburg Address and the Preamble both say
