The Catholic holy person, Anthony of Padua, likewise loved as Saint Anthony of Lisbon, was conceived in Lisbon, Portugal, which was then a piece of Spain, in 1195 A.D., and named Fernando de Bulhoes. He is a standout amongst the most cherished Catholic holy people today, and he was greatly adored even voluntarily. Holy person Anthony's physical appearance was unremarkable; he was short and somewhat full, yet everybody who heard him talk was attracted to him. St. Anthony was known to have an energetic grin, a boisterous voice and a huge memory. His intense confidence probably been clear from a youthful age, for by fifteen, he had entered the Augustinian Abbey of St. Vincent at Lisbon against his well-to-do family's desires.

At that point, in 1219, St. Anthony had a foreboding meeting with five Franciscans who were headed to lecture the Muslims in Morocco. The ministers were martyred amid their main goal, and their mangled bodies taken back to Spain where they were conveyed in grave parade. St. Anthony was clearly extremely moved by the Franciscans' give up and their straightforward way of life. He approached his request for authorization to join the Franciscans, and in the late spring of 1220, got his propensity. He took the name Anthony, after St. Anthony the Great.
