Stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination have touched my life in many ways because I been through all of them and I know people who been through all of them. Stereotype is a positive or negative trait or traits ascribed to a certain group and to most members of that group (Koppelman,2017). An example of stereotype will be someone saying that girls don’t know how to play basketball. This example is considered gender profiling, and when your grouping people and races together and make judgment without knowing them, then your stereotyping. I been through stereotype before in my life because I had someone tell me I couldn’t do something base on my gender or race and that moment of time I never understood why people stereotype so much.
