In the book Anthem, by Ayn Rand, it is a sin to talk to girls. It is also a sin to take too long of a break because if you do that, then the leaders are going to ask where you have been. No matter what your answer, they will send you to court where you will be punished. It is also a sin to think that you can be one of the higher people and if you think that you can be one of them you will get in serious trouble.
In the beginning of the story, we get introduced to Equality 7-2521 and how the people of his time live . In his time, there are people that are the higher power and they get to boss around all the people that do not have that power. Also in the story, candles are used for light. So once you get into the story, you learn that Equality
