Three years ago during the time of the Great Depression in the City of Prince George, British Columbia, Roger was 18 years old and had just recently graduated from Prince George Secondary School. Roger, wanting to become an author, would like to go to the University of Northern British Columbia and get a degree in literature. Currently residing in the old crime rid neighborhoods of Prince George where violence and gang wars are a regular occurrence, hence the City of Prince George's nickname ''The most dangerous city in Canada''. Roger had the mindset of making a better life for himself and his family which had previously resided under the oppressive conditions and poverty during the time of the Great Depression. ''I'm sure she'll love this gorgeous purse and the twenty dollars for the blue suede shoes'' said Roger while sitting in one of the many city transit buses Prince George had to offer.

At Roger's apartment, Roger wraps the lovely purse in some wrapping paper he found in his bedroom. Roger puts on one of his best tuxedoes on with his striking bow tie and left his appartment.

It was approximately 6:00 p.m., Roger, trying to remember the address of Mrs, Jones, walks to where he thinks the house is based upon his previous knowledge of the location. He walks up to the door and, with a little bit sense of anxiety and at the same time a sense of relief, rings the doorbell hoping that Mrs. Jones lives there. The door opens and Roger began to feel queasy. Before Roger can say anything, Mrs. Jones said

''Roger, I never really did see my parent's either at a young age like you. They never really had time with me, so I understand your feeling of abandonment that you suffered'' Mrs. Jones hugged Roger even harder and they shared their feelings of abandonment and saddness while eating.
''Roger, were so much alike at a young age, feelin' hopelessness'' said Mrs. Jones
''Now, we've grown up and it's time to forget our past and move on'' said Mrs. Jones in continuation of her previous comment
''You right, I got so much to live for'' said Roger while in blissfulness
''Good for you boy'' said Mrs. Jones while picking up the dishes ''No Mrs. Jones, I'll pick up the lovely dinner you made now go get some rest, you look awfully tired'' said Roger with affection
''Alright Roger, you'd better get home it's gettin' late'' said Mrs. Jones while coughing
''Mrs. Jones, you should get somethin' about that cough, it seems bad'' said Roger with care
''I'm fine, boy...'' said Mrs. Jones in response
''Really, how long you'd been coughin' for''
''A few weeks'' said Mrs. Jones coughing again
''You should get to a doctor about this'' said
