Summary: The Scottsboro Trial

The Scottsboro trials were an atrocious unjust white versus black trial. It all happened because of a fight on a train. when the train finally stopped nine black kids were arrested and accused of rape (Anderson). At the trials, eight of the nine were found guilty of a crime that never happened. The eight found guilty were sentenced to death (Johnson). But the case kept going back and forth between the supreme court and the local court. the local court did not want it so they bumped it up to the supreme court; however, the supreme court did not want it either (Anderson). In summary the Scottsboro trials were a terrible thing that happened to nine black teens because of two white women.
