Do you think anyone should be able to get away with murder no matter what their mental state is? In the story “Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe a mental person kills an old man. In this story it is not known if the narrator is a man or a women. The biggest clue that they gave us was when the narrator called themselves a “Madman” and “Madmen know nothing”. This story leaves us with many questions about this “madman”, though Poe does leave us many clues.

There are many different possibilities for the age and gender of the narrator. I think that they are a thirty year old man with a mental disability. He comes across as this because he not only kills someone but every night he stalked him. The narrator also did not have a real reason for
