The Beatles were one of the most influential bands in American society during the 1960’s and 70’s. The Beatles were a band made up by 4 men; John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The Beatles did not just affect the music industry, they also affected the way society dressed and acted. On February 9, 1964 ,The Beatles made their first American television appearance. The television appearance was broadcasted across America and began the new “hipster” culture known as “Beatlemania” The Beatles changed the world in four different ways; hair, fashion, live concerts, album format. The Beatles created a new “ hip” style, one in which “teenage boys wanted to grow Beatles-length hair and get collarless jackets and Beatles boots.”
