Throughout the play, “The Crucible”, many characters come in and out, but one stood out the most. In the play, “The Crucible”, written by A. Miller the influential character is John Hale because he focuses on both sides of the story, he pursued the truth, and maintains the morals that he believes is right. The reason John Hale focuses on both sides of the story is because if one person said someone was a witch, he is not going to say “they are a witch so let them hang”; he is going to listen to the other person.
